Associations
If you own rental property in Connecticut, you need to join
a property owners association. In the Vernon area we have the Tolland
County Property Owners Association. The TCPOA has been
going strong for 10 years, helping to educate landlords in
regards to Legislation, Business, Tenant and Housing matters. By
joining you will receive monthly
newsletters containing useful information. Membership
meetings are normally held at the Rockville Senior Center on
the second Monday of every month.
The Connecticut Rental Housing Alliance, is a
State wide coalition of landlord associations from around the
state. Its main function is to hire a lobbyist, submit and
monitor legislation and work with our legislators regarding
housing matters in CT. In order to be a part of the CRHA you
must first join a local affiliation.

Rental Property
Management: This course provides operating guidelines for
those who now own or plan to own or manage residential real estate
investment property. The course will cover all aspects of real
estate operations such as acquisition, financial operations of the
company, operating costs, vacancy and non payment rates, fair
housing issues and leasing arrangements.

Relationships: The rules and regulations governing landlord
and tenant relationships continue to change. Learn how the housing
court works, how to address tenant issues legally, overview of
lead paint requirements and laws, applications and leasing
procedures. By examining case studies, you'll gain a better
understanding of Landlord and Tenants legal rights and develop the
frame work for a healthier business relationships in the future. None
